vs
Great Chart (Home) - 21st May
After winning the toss Ashford decided to bat and started at a good rate. Simon Berry and Alistair Neale
put on 46 for the first wicket, but both got out trying to force the run-rate up. Matthew Nash and Hayden Murrell then took on the charge. The rate slowed when they were dismissed, and some fine bowling by the Great Chart
bowlers restricted Ashford to 107 for 5.
Great Chart's reply was aggressive and, despite losing early wickets, by halfway they were 56-3 and well on
their way to victory. Once again though the spinners were unplayable. Ryan Knight and Alistair Neale changed the match to allow Ashford to coast to a 34-run win in
their attempt to win the under 16 league for the third year in a row.
