Subject : Past 'first class' players

I've written short biogs on past players. They are not the definitive lowdown on these players and would be grateful for input from anyone who is unhappy with my description of these outstanding performers. Nothing would please me more than to tickle and improve these pieces to make them as accurate a reflection of their performances as possible. All of them seriously lack stats. How many tons did Alan Ealham score for Ashford? How many Kent League runs and wickets did Mark Ealham achieve?

Bill,

one of the major downsides of our fantastic club is the fact that no one keeps any records. Clubs like Kennington and Old Stacians have full statistics on all their players and can quote 'first Sunday hundred' and 'best kent league figures' with confidence and ease.
To try and remember Ealy's runs and wickets would be nigh on impossible without all the relevant scorebooks.
The Kent League may be able to assist, but I think their records are sketchy pre 1996.
