Subject : Annual dinner

So sorry I couldn't make the dinner. I couldn't attend for two reasons: (1) I should have been covering the Rugby World Cup; (2) That became impossible when I was taken ill and finished-up as a guest of the East Kent Hospital Trust in the King's ward of the William Harvey. Lovely nursing staff, and the food was excellent. But not as good as the menu you and your guests enjoyed at the dinner, I bet!
