Subject : Club Dinner

A great night was had by all at the Annual Club Dinner. Our thanks must go to Lynnette Wood and Sara Tegg for organising it so well, as everyone that I have spoken to had a great time and thought it was one of the best.

My I also take this opportunity to thank everyone for the "Club Person Of The Year" award. Although it takes an enormous amount of hard work to keep the colt's section going, it's not just me that does the work. The team managers have done a grand job this year. It's not easy pleasing 170 kids every week. Andy Elgar, Liam Tegg, Nigel Crannis, Philip May and Paul Berry worked wonders to put competitive sides each week with some success stories along the way. The u16's winning the league, The u14's runners-up, and the u12's runners-up. The u9's had agreat season just being pipped at the post to getting a quarter final place at the Kent Super mini 8's competition.

My Thanks also go to Alison Halstead for the work she put in to being Colt's secretary this year and to Peter Rolfe for manning the bar on Sunday Mornings and providing cups of tea to the parents.

Overall it has been a very enjoyable season on and off the field. All it needs is to continue this hard work through to next season and see further improvements in our performances.
