Subject : Ashford/Old Stacians Merger

So, Ashford are to merge with Old Stacians which I think is fantastic news, will be great for the development of cricket in the area and will surely lead to Ashford playing premier league cricket again in the future.
I am however concerned about the amount of rumour and speculation that is taking place on the KCL forum and Old Stacians public forum regarding this subject.
Perhaps some of these can be dis-regarded or comfirmned by the trustees/commitees to the members of both clubs.
The letter from 'the Chairmen' that has been posted on the Old Boys website states that a meeting will take place. Does anybody know where or when?
I think that we must deal with some of the issues that have been arising since the news became 'public' before players make their own decisions and perhaps leave for other clubs in the area.
We need to reassure the playing members as quickly as possible and keep them well informed to ensure that the most is made out of this great opportunity.

Also while I'm here, well done to all the guys who played in the dinks this year.
It was a fantastic, consistent team effort to go all year unbeaten and to get promoted. The prospects for the future look very good indeed. Well done chaps!
