That is great news - well done ! No doubt there are still a few sore heads but well worth the pain .Concrats to the skipper who has done a great job turning the fortunes of the playing side of the club around . Keep going onwards and upwards .

I'd like to join Mike and Graham in praising the efforts of our first team.

Thanks for the congratulations.
All credit goes to the players for a fantastic season. It was nail biting at the end (courtesy of a mid season rain storm & a shock defeat at Walmer) but we did it and now look forward to next season for more of the same.
There aren't many of us still playing who played in the last first team to win a league, so I hope the new batch of players enjoyed the success and strive for the same in the coming seasons.
Some special thanks go to, not the regular first teamers (who all deserve credit), but to the players from the lower teams who stepped in when required through non availibity of the regulars. Nigel Crannis, Luke Harcourt, Ollie Bartlett and James Rodway all put in great performances when they represented 'The Ants'. There's is a thankless task but their efforts and committment are very much appreciated by the Club and especially by me.

I have some great memories of the season:

Watto's superb one handed catch at slip against Gravesend.
Racking up 320 dec against Old Stacians.
Si Taylor & Ali Neale taking us to victory against Gravesend.
Shanon looking like R2D2 at short leg in Bucko's helmet.
20 points at Linden after being put in on a wet one and ammassing 270+.
Sutts taking 2 superb running catches despite his ability to drop the easier chances!
Teggy's brilliant match winning ton against Holmesdale.
Stu Paines match winning knock at Rainham when we were in the mire.
Watto's face when other bowlers took wickets after numerous dropped chances off his bowling.
JB actually showing some dissent (in the dressing room) after his 3rd shocking decision in a row.
Shanon's face and his bear hug when we won the league.
The wicket at Walmer (enough said!).
The outfield at BOCA (enough said!).
Bucko's chirp (and his KM article - 'I choose not to bat'!).
Si Taylor's slower ball (how the batsmen do not spot it and smash it is beyond me!!).
The Old Stacians aussie's face after going for a 100 off his bowling and then getting a 2nd ball 0.
Being 1 for 3 and 45 for 7 in the last game (the silence was deafening!).
A Gravesend batsmen being given not out (by his father!) after being bowled by Si Taylor. 'The wind blew the bail off' - whatever!
Ant 'tattoo's' everywhere in Liquid (venue for post league winning celebrations) except Watto ('they're childish')

There are more and I'm sure the players have as many great memories as me. Let's get some more next year (if they'll put up with me moaning at them every Sat!!).

Thanks to everyone for a great year.
