Ashford's Dutch Treat!

Many congratulations to Simon Taylor for organising a tour match between Ashford Colts and a team of youngsters from Amsterdam, managed by former Ashford cricketer Will Flack.

The weather held for the match to take place at Ball Lane, on Tuesday. The club owes a great debt of gratitude to Simon and his helpers for their organisational skills and their energy in putting on this tour match.

Neil Tegg, Daren Wood and others hurried home from work to help out, and the whole evening ran like clockwork, with a fish n chip supper to round-off a great day.

There is talk of an annual fixture, with Ashford sending a team to Holland. Simon knows more than me about the prospect of that, but I'd like to thank our Colts Manager for all his effort, and that of his assistants on a great occasion for the club.
